New White Sandals

New White Sandals, A Memoir,  is my first book.  I wrote the book due to the urging of friends when they heard the dramatic events of my young life.  But, I wasn't a writer.  How do I begin, let alone, tell my story in a way that would engage the reader.

So I took the same class, over and over again - Writing from Memory - at College of Marin, in Kentfield, CA taught by Jackie Kudler, a published poet, and an extraordinary teacher.  She would often say, "show your reader" by providing relevant detail to your story.

Reaching into my memory of many years ago, the reader will hear the voice and feel the emotions of a young story-teller.
